The sun is shining, the bluebells are flowering and this morning I stood in my garden, remembering how many times we peeped through the plants and shared those special moments. And, of course, a cup of tea over the fence. 'Dressing Gowns at Dawn' we called ourselves Gin.... Later in the day came the glass of wine (or two), and you, Mont, preparing those huge 'Monty' barbeques, which lasted well into the night. When I was growing up, my brother David and I used to so look forward to seeing Monty - with lovely Ginny, natch - and I remember him as some sort of guv'nor of a London "Ratpack" - glamorous, tall, elegant,always fun and a bit naughty.....He was at every wedding, 18th, 21st, and family occasion of note & I can't imagine him not being there...
